MISSION STATEMENT:

Here at Brisby Bordoodles our number one priority is the physical and mental health of our dogs and puppies. The parents are our pets and real farm dogs. When they're not by our side, they spend their days playing and exploring...happy and healthy. They are beautiful, registered purebreds that are genetic health tested. We strive to provide the same healthy, positive environment for the puppies. They are handled from birth and socialized and exposed to a variety of people, pets and circumstances. Our puppies are intelligent, very affectionate and confident and they easily settle into their new homes. Be sure to checkout our reviews and Brisby Bordoodles Facebook page to see the past litter.

Why a Bordoodle?

The Bordoodle is a cross between a Border Collie and a Poodle. These dogs are considered a designer hybrid breed. The concept is genius...breed two of the most intelligent, trainable and loyal dog breeds in the world and get a dog that has the intelligence, agility, focus and performance potential of the Border Collie as well as the affectionate, sensitive, cuddly and hypoallergenic traits of the poodle. Your highly trainable companion will likely be athletic with keen emotional intelligence...loyal like the Border Collie with the relaxed demeanor of a poodle. Bordoodles are not for everyone, though. They are still active dogs that benefit from regular exercise and because they are low shed, their coats will require a good deal of grooming and maintenance. Although the Bordoodle is not recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club), they are recognized by other dog organizations like the Designer Dogs Kennel Club, International Designer Canine Registry, American Canine Hybrid Club and more.

What is ENS?

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) begins on day 3 and continues through day 16, a period believed to be a time of rapid neurological growth and development. Research shows that slight struggles and stresses in small doses are actually good for puppies and will help them grow into strong, healthy well-adjusted adults. The process consists of 5 simple and harmless exercises, which are: tactile stimulation(tickling between the toes), lying in the supine position, held with head held up, held tilted upside down, and thermal stimulation. Benefits include improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate); stronger heart beats; stronger adrenal glands; more tolerance to stress; and greater resistance to disease. ENS stimulated pups were more active and exploratory than their non- stimulated littermates, according to Breeding Better Dogs. Because every litter is special to us, we will take the time to administer ENS and your puppy will be stronger and healthier for it!
